Here is beautiful April Bird. April has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, and is currently receiving hospital care in Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We were contacted by April’s Mummy, because like all families who have had a child diagnosed with this cruel disease, she needed our support.
The daily travels to and from Great Ormond Street hospital have been extremely difficult on April’s family, because her siblings still need to go to school every day and be collected from school. But April also needs to be at hospital every day early in the morning to receive her chemotherapy, and some times she doesn’t get home until very late at night. So we really do need to try and relieve some of the worries that they are faced with.
Due to April’s immune system, she is not allowed to travel on public transport for her appointments, so Mitchell’s Miracles will need lots of support from fundraisers to help provide taxi’s to and from hospital which is approximately 35 miles each way. We would also like to provide financial support to help towards many other expenses whilst April is receiving her hospital care.
Can you make April’s journey that little bit easier?
