Fundraising for Mitchell’s Miracles

Southend Twilight Colourthon 10k Fun walk 7th July 6pm

The Twilight is a scaled down version of our Moonlight event. A 10 km FUN walk around Southend by night… with a difference!

The walk kicks off at 6 pm (just as the sun is setting) on Saturday 7th July 2018, and those walking are encouraged to dress as brightly as their imaginations will allow! As organisers, we think we have seen it all… but there are charity spot prizes for those who impress us with their costumes!

Besides the obvious fun of dressing up, when you are out on the course, it highlights to the public the many worthy causes represented by our walkers in full and spectacular colour!

With 10 km to cover, the walk takes in all the sights, sounds and smells of the seaside by night. Our stewarding team will keep you safe and cheer you on, all the way back to our amazing night time finish line party!

Colour Obstacle Rush – 19th May 2018, @ Windsor

The Colour Obstacle Rush is back and it is one of our favourite events to take part in!
With coloured powder and inflatables to tackle, 20 obstacles, and music stations on the way, this is a fun packed and brilliant event to raise money for our charity!

Price stands at £29.50 until January where it will increase, we will refund this back to you if you reach a minimum sponsorship of £150.

inflatable 5k run 2018

Inflatable 5K Run – 16th June @ Chelmsford

The UK’s best Inflatable Obstacle course has got even bigger, bouncier and more insane.

We have added crazy NEW obstacles to make the most fun and extreme inflatable obstacle event ever created.

This year, Mitchell’s Miracles are taking part and we are looking for fundraisers who want to take part!

Entry fee via the Inflatable 5k website, and we request you raise a minimum of £100 so we can refund your entry fee back.

Children welcome but must be over 1.3 metres to take part.

London To Brighton Cycleride 16th September 2018 8am

The Do it for Charity London to Brighton Cycle Ride is a mass-participation cycle ride covering the 54 miles from south London to Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front. In 2018 the ride will take place on the 16th September and thousands of riders are expected to take part.

All you need to do to take part is raise £150 for Mitchell’s Miracles and pay a registration fee of £45.00– in return you

will receive ALL of the following:
Mitchell’s Miracles charity sports vest and our Fundraising pack

PLUS

Free buffet lunch
This takes place at 29 miles in the picturesque village of Turners Hill. You can eat as much as you like from our delicious pastas to our ever popular Carrot Cake.

Free water stops
These take place at 21 miles in the morning and 45 miles at the top of Ditchling Beacon

Full mechanical support
We have four stationary mechanic points (at the start, at the morning and afternoon water points, and at lunch) but if you’re unlucky enough to experience difficulties in between those points we also have roaming mechanics too – just give us a call!

Fully signed route
No need to be looking at your map – our route is fully sign-posted so that you can keep your eyes on the road and enjoy the wonderful surrounding countryside!

Pre-event support

Just call our friendly London to Brighton team who will be able to help you out with all of your questions including fundraising and training advice

Bike and Coach transport back to London
Bike and coach transport will be available back from Brighton to south London at an extra cost of £30 which can be booked upon registering or prior to the event.

Your bicycle will be securely transported back to the start point in south London where it will be returned to you upon arrival.

Local train services in Brighton will only permit a limited amount of bikes so we strongly advise you arrange to be picked up from Brighton or book our bike and coach transport (subject to availability).

Highly popular event Facebook page
Meet fellow cyclists ahead of the trip and if you’re on your own you will probably find other solo cyclists to cycle with! Our Facebook page is also a great place to gets lots of tips and advice on the ride from more experienced cyclists

And finally!

FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR

Our second Fundraiser of the Year is now open for people to apply!

We are looking for fundraisers who take part in ANY challenge between 1st May 2017 and 30th April 2018 for Mitchell’s Miracles.

The challenge can be one of ours or a fundraising idea of your own.

We have marathons, sky dives, tough mudders and much more or let us know if you have a challenge you are already raising money for and we will enter you into the competition.

What is Fundraiser of the Year?

Mitchell was and still continues to be an inspiration to children and families who are bravely fighting the effects of Neuroblastoma. It is in his memory that we want to give recognition to a particular fundraiser who has gone above and beyond all expectations to raise money for Mitchell’s Miracles.

How is ‘Fundraiser of the Year’ decided?

We will follow the story of each participant, what fundraising they have done whether it be a sponsored silence, sponsored sky dive or taking part in a fun run.

They will need to keep us updated of how much they have raised and what they have achieved over the year.

Our board of trustees will then shortlist two fundraisers to be put to a vote to the general public who will decide the overall winner.

Terms and Conditions

Entry is open to anyone over the age of 8 years old, (consent from a parent or guardian is required if under the age of 16).
The Competition will run from April 1st 2017  until 31st March 2018.
All monies collected must be submitted to the charity by the 31st March 2018 and the winner will be notified by 1st May.
The entrant must fundraise regularly throughout the year and inform us of the event that they are doing. We want to follow your story and support you along the way.
