Summer 2017 will see the launch of our newest event, a masquerade ball in the heart of Orsett, Essex to raise awareness of childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma and to help families affected by this.
Our charity relies solely on public funding and support and we aim to put on events such as this to not only help with this funding but to give our supporters and local people an opportunity to enjoy themselves as well as learn more about how we help families affected by this aggressive childhood cancer.
The idea of this event came from our fundraisers for the charity who have a love and passion for all things masquerade and mystery and is inspired by the David Bowie film, Labyrinth where the main characters dance in ball gowns and masks in one of the scenes!
Of course, we don’t expect everyone to wear ball gowns, but it will be compulsory to bring and wear a masquerade themed mask, for men and women, to keep in with our theme!
Our mission for this event in particular is to entertain you and give you value for money!
Included in your ticket is a three course meal, reception drinks, and entertainment by our comedians, live band, singers and DJ.
All profits made from your ticket purchase will go to our charity,Mitchell’s Miracles to help families that get in touch with us via Great Ormond Street and Clic Sargent.
We only offer financial assistance to families affected by Neuroblastoma, it is a rare childhood cancer and affects just 100 children in the UK.
But, those families we have helped in the past have said how we have taken the burden of paying the bills off their shoulders when they have enough to deal
with, trying to get their child through this terrible disease.
Planning is underway to make this event as spectacular as it sounds!
We have carefully chosen a venue that will reflect our aim and create a warm and midsummer atmosphere.
Guests can mingle and relax as they enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz to start and then get stuck in with our selected menu by Orsett Hall.
You can then have a giggle with our soon to be announced comedian, tap your feet to our singers and dance the night away with the live band!
This is certainly going to be an event not to be missed!
