Our work alongside Clic Sargent has helped a family who contacted us just before Christmas as their child has Neuroblastoma and we were told the family were homeless due to a damp isssue in their family home. As the child is going through treatment, the mould in the house is detrimental to his health and so the family have been sleeping in hospital accommodation for some time, until they could be re-homed.
When we were asked if we could help, we agreed to offer a grant to the family which will help towards finding a new home.
Not only has the grant helped them, but one of our trustess for The Mitchell Huth Memorial Fund, John Harris, of T.Cribbs and Sons has gone even further to help the family and kitted out their new place with furniture, the family could not take their old furniture with them due to the mould issue. John also sent a hamper and presents for the siblings just in time for Chirstmas day.
We would like to say a huge thank you to John for helping this family at a difficult time, as well as all our supporters and fundraisers who have helped contribute to the grant. Without you, this family would not have been home for Christmas or been able to bring their poorly child with them.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all
Team Mitchell xx
