What is Neuroblastoma?
Neuroblastoma is the most common form of embryonal tumour which is characterised by the proliferation of tissue that is only normally seen in the developing embryo. These tumours are mainly seen in very young children and is slightly more common in boys then in girls.
Neuroblastoma is a cancer of the specialised nerve cells, called neuro crest cells. These cells are involved in the development of the nervous system and other tissues. Where does my money go?
Donations received to Mitchell's Miracles help provide emotional and financial support to families of a child receiving hospital care for Neuroblastoma a childhood cancer. Mitchell’s Miracles may be a small Romford charity, but it is truly effective at meeting its mission of helping those families in need. We consistently work at reducing the administrative (overhead) costs and devote the majority of our funds to helping affected families and educating the general public about Neuroblastoma.
Why does Mitchell's Miracles spend money on fundraising?
A portion of our funds is spent on fundraising specifically in order to raise more money. This in turn increases awareness, amongst the UK public, about the Neuroblastoma condition. Fundraising is a fundamental process for the survival of our children’s cancer charity and as such we have a small, but effective, fundraising team to keep costs to a minimum.
