Greetings and a warm welcome to the month of March! With Easter fast approaching, I wanted to take a moment to provide you all with an update on our Easter Gift Appeal for the year 2024.Our supporters have been actively contributing to our 'Easter Gift Appeal 2024' as evidenced by the image above. In our efforts to bring joy to the children with cancer at Great Ormond Street, we are appealing for gifts from our Amazon wish list this year. As unfortunate as it is, easter eggs cannot be given to children undergoing chemotherapy as it would negatively impact their health. We humbly invite you to visit our Amazon wish list and choose a gift to donate. All items will be directly shipped to our office, where they will be carefully sorted and distributed by the Mitchell's Team. Your generosity and support in this cause are deeply appreciated. Donate here Venn Group Valentines Fun...raising!We wanted to note the extraordinary love that Mitchell's Miracles received on Valentine's Day, particularly from the Venn Group. One of the Venn Group Recruitment employees, Rosie, had previously attended the same school as Mitchell and has been a devoted supporter of the charity ever since. In fact, Rosie personally nominated Mitchell's Miracles as the company's Charity of the Year, demonstrating her passion and dedication towards the cause. |
After extensive searching, we were fortunate enough to come across Pound Fabrics, a highly cooperative fabric company that offered us a very generous quote. As a result, we were able to procure an abundance of vivid fleece material, and we extend our deepest gratitude to them for their unwavering support of our Bravery Blanket project. In response to our efforts, Pound Fabrics remarked that they were astounded by the overwhelming support that we have garnered for this noble cause, and they expressed their eagerness to provide us with all the fabric we require. |
The blankets are made up of various colored fleece fabric squares, each measuring 25cm x 25cm, which are then tied together with cut-out strips. To personalize their square, each child is given cotton squares that document their treatment journey. In addition, smaller white cotton squares are provided to allow the children to write affirmations and words of encouragement to attach to their fleece square. We have created a sample to showcase the final look, and welcome your thoughts on it. |
This is a sample...
If you wish to lend a hand in cutting squares, you may bring your own pair of scissors and volunteer. Alternatively, you could support the cause by sponsoring a square for a fee of £2.
