The team at Mitchell’s Miracles have been working hard this year to bring more light-hearted entertainment to our supporters.
Have you ever wanted to be an investigator? If the answer is YES, then we have the perfect event for you… On Saturday the 29th October, Mitchell’s Miracles will be teaming up with the “Spirit Paranormal” ghost hunting group for a night to remember, investigating the hauntings of Redoubt Fort in Harwich. The moated Redoubt Fort was built in 1808 and is an impressive 180ft (60m) diameter circular building used to defend the port of Harwich against a Napoleonic invasion. Ten guns sit on the battlements. Eighteen casements below would house 300 troops in siege conditions. It mounted ten 24-pounders and housed a regiment of soldiers with sufficient food and stores to with stay a lengthy siege. Fortunately, it was never called upon to demonstrate its powers. The fort was restored by the Harwich Society as a voluntary project. Part of the fort is now used as a military museum. Battle re-enactments and other events are held during the summer months. For more information visit Harwich Redoubt Fort. Certified paranormal investigator, Jan Saunders, is really excited to be supporting Mitchell’s Miracles with this charitable event.
